About the Role
RisingAssist is seeking a skilled Behavioral Specialist to support individuals with behavioral challenges and enhance the overall effectiveness of our day support program. This role focuses on assessing behavioral needs, developing individualized behavior support plans, and guiding staff in implementing appropriate interventions.
The Behavioral Specialist will conduct assessments, analyze behavior patterns, and design proactive strategies to reduce challenging behaviors while promoting positive alternatives. This role also includes training staff on de-escalation techniques, crisis prevention, and consistent implementation of behavior plans.
The ideal candidate is experienced in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and is comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support emotional and behavioral stability. This position is critical in maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Psychology, ABA, Social Work, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with behavioral interventions and ID/DD population
