About the Role
RisingAssist LLC is seeking an experienced, organized, and strategic Finance & Operations Manager to oversee the financial, operational, and administrative functions of our adult day support program serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, operational efficiency, and organizational growth.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can manage day-to-day business operations while supporting long-term strategic planning in a fast-growing healthcare organization.
The Finance & Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health and operational performance of RisingAssist. This includes budgeting, payroll coordination, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, human resources support, regulatory compliance, vendor management, facility operations, and administrative oversight. The Finance & Operations Manager works closely with the Owner/Program Director to ensure the organization operates efficiently and in compliance with all applicable Virginia DBHDS, Medicaid Waiver, and federal regulations.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in business operations, finance, healthcare administration, or office management.
Experience managing budgets and financial records.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to pass all required background checks.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience working with Virginia Medicaid Waiver providers or DBHDS-licensed organizations.
Knowledge of nonprofit or healthcare financial management.
Experience with payroll, bookkeeping, and accounting software.
Experience with human resources administration.
Knowledge of healthcare compliance, HIPAA, and quality improvement.
Experience preparing for audits, licensing reviews, and accreditation surveys.
Project management or operations management experience.
