About the Role
RisingAssist is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care and supervision to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured day support setting. DSPs play a critical role in helping individuals achieve greater independence, social engagement, and improved quality of life.
In this role, DSPs will support participants with daily activities, facilitate structured social and recreational programming, and assist in implementing individualized service plans (ISPs). DSPs are responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive environment, observing and documenting participant progress, and responding appropriately to behavioral or medical needs.
The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and passionate about working with individuals with diverse needs. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to adapt to different personalities and support needs throughout the day.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Experience in healthcare or caregiving preferred
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
DBHDS mandatory training
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
