Social Connection & Community Engagement

RisingAssist provides structured social and recreational programming that encouraging peer interaction, relationship-building, and active participation in group and community environments. Activities are designed to align with each individual’s interests, preferences, and abilities.

• Opportunities to build interpersonal and relationship skills

• Group-based activities that encourage socialization and communication

• Recreational games, arts, music, and sensory-based activities

• Supervised group outings and community field trips designed to encourage participation, socialization, exposure to new environments, and engagement in community-based experiences

​Social Connection & Community Engagement activities are designed to promote confidence, communication, participation, and positive social experiences in supportive group and community settings.

All staff participating in community outings are expected to follow RisingAssist safety procedures and maintain participant safety, dignity, and supervision at all times.
